Flying Car 3D Modeling Project: Video

This is my video that I presented at the end of my 3D modeling project.
I hope you all enjoy.

Flying Car 3D Modeling Project

My last 3D project that I made was of a flying car. I have spent the last six months making it. You can see the video I made in the previous post.
I wanted to create something that was futuristic but at the same time relatable to what we already have today. So that is why the car has a "hybrid" body.
The software used: Photoshop, Maya and After Effects

Here are the ambient renders of the car. These allow one to look at the model's shape and
form more accurately then when the materials are applied

Type in Motion Trailer

This was my second type in motion project. I had to take an existing video trailer and recreate the type in it to better deliver the message of the trailer. Ended up using the fast and the furious Tokyo drift trailer (Original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C3QSuv8m88) The original content belongs to The fast and the furious and Universal studios.

This is my "Edited type" Version

This is the "Original" Version

Type in Motion Occupy

Here is my first type in motion peace. I had to create moving type publication that convaied a concept of "Occupy" I chose the concept of occupying your mind.
This was finished in april.

Restaurant Project

Back in my second year of study (2011) our class was given an assignment to each design our own restaurant. I wanted to design something modern and technological as that is the kinds of things that I like. I came up with the idea of designing a restaurant that rather then using traditional ordering methods, used the advantage of current technological advancements. I designed a menu that you could view on any tablet device (eg: iPad) that not only allows the user to order there meal whenever they want but also allows them to:
  • See additional information about the dish that would not fit onto a paper menu.
  • Keeps a running total of the bill so the user dose not need to calculate how much the food costs.
  • Convenience
  • Don't need a waiter/waitress.
  • Saves time.

In the end I still had to create a paper menu as it was one of the objects pointed out in the brief.
Here are some photos of my project.

Menu Interface

This is how the menu looked like on an iPad.
I demonstrated its interactivity during my presentation.

3D Model

I wanted to create the project in 3D as I had just recently started to learn how to model at that time and I wanted something for my portfolio.

Objects

Here are some of the renders of the objects.

 Composition

After making  the models I put them together to look like a photo.  This is the end result.
